Hi! My name is Yerin and I am a Year 12 student in Hong Kong. As someone who is passionate about politics and history, the problems I encountered when first approaching politics inspired me to start this organisation. Outside of Youth and Politics you can find me either reading, watching conspiracy theory videos, or naming all 193 United Nations member states. Through Youth and Politics I hope to guide people so they no longer feel intimidated by a political news article, and can finally read that political book they have been wanting to try for a long time :)

Hey! My name is Chesney and I am a Year 12 student in Hong Kong studying the IBDP. Having a lifelong interest in history and geopolitics, it’s always been a dream of mine to be able to share this passion with others beyond the barriers of language, culture, socio-economic standing, or education. Outside of Youth and Politics, you can find me singing or performing at local or school events, binging classic Hollywood pictures, or listening to video essays and true crime podcasts. Through Youth and Politics, I hope to encourage the expansion of youth involvement in political discussions, and provide a voice to those who may rarely ever have the chance to speak out. 

Hello! My name is Meredith, and I am currently studying in Hong Kong as a Year 12 student. Over time, I have grown interested in politics and enjoy participating in discussions and staying informed about current events (thanks to Yerin). However, I’ve discovered firsthand how intimidating it can be as a first timer to begin exploring and talking about political topics, especially at a younger age. As you can tell, art and design are at the heart of what I do, so I was thrilled to design the ‘Youth and Politics’ website to help further their cause. I hope this website can be a valuable resource for you and motivate you to chase your dreams! <3
